Themes

A Theme contains design configurations at a very fundamental level. The settings included in a Theme affect all display components of an ADITO application, particularly Views and Contexts. Currently, a Theme is limited to the definition of colors of various visual elements in the ADITO client.

This documentation provides background information and shared terminology to support clear communication between stakeholders and ADITO developers.

It introduces the concept of Themes in ADITO and explains how color schemes, contrasts, and visual elements shape the application's look and feel.

Themes define the visual identity of the user interface. They help ensure accessibility, support branding requirements, and contribute to a consistent and positive user experience. While users can choose from preconfigured themes with varying colors and contrasts, all theme creation and modification is handled centrally.

important

Themes must not be created or customized by end users, as color design is quite complex and has to consider critical aspects. To ensure an optimal design quality throughout all ADITO applications, only ADITO’s UX team is authorized to modify or create Themes. If you require a theme adjustment or a new Theme, please contact ADITO.
