Design Guideline

Design Guideline (AID003)

This manual includes advice and recommendations on how to design the appearance of your ADITO system in the Web Client. Depending on your customized system there may be further aspects.

A good visual and structural design of a web-based application has a great influence on its usability: It helps the client user to learn the system’s functions quickly and intuitively, and to use the web client effectively. Thus, the design is an important factor of how well the application is accepted by the targeted user group.

Due to the unified design of a limited number of ViewTemplates and View layouts, ADITO already ensures an easy-to-use and attractive appearance of the Web Client. Nevertheless, in the ADITO xRM project (which is the basis for most customized ADITO applications) the various graphical elements are used according to specific design ideas and UX principles, which will be explained in this document.

For a better understanding, you should

  • have basic knowledge of how to customize the ADITO xRM project. This is explained in the Customizing Manual.

  • be familiar with all ADITO specific wording, as far as the Web Client is concerned. Find more information in the ADITO Information Document (AID) "AID002 Wording Guideline".

These documents are available in the customer area of the ADITO web site.

This document is not to be seen as completed, but it is being extended constantly. Your ADITO contact will be happy to assist you in optimizing the design of your customized system.
