Blueprints (AID114)
Purpose of this document
This document describes all functions of Blueprints and what you can do with them. This includes using the Blueprints provided by the ADITO Designer and how to create your own. Further more it includes all information about sharing and versioning your Blueprints and include them in your ADITO project.
What are Blueprints?
A Blueprint can be used when data is to be created on an existing project. The complexity of the required user input does not matter. It also does not matter whether there is only a single data model to be created or multiple (for Example a Context, a view and an entity) or even a complete project.
Why use Blueprints?
Blueprints can replace repetitive tasks, such as creating an entity with the most common Views like Filter-, Edit-, Preview- and MainView. They can be used as often as they are needed and with parameters can have multiple purposes. Blueprints can be saved in a projects GIT repository and so versioned and shared with every developer that works with it. It is possible to share and use Blueprints in all ADITO projects, you only have to send someone the xml-file, and they can put it in the correct folder of their project to use it.
