Mailbridge (AID019)

This document describes the ADITO Mailbridge. The Mailbridge is ADITO’s mechanism to automatically process incoming emails. Incoming emails have to be copied to a mailbox on your mail server from which these emails are taken and processed by the mailbridge process. To read and process the emails, ADITO needs read, modify and delete rights on this mailbox and the connection has to be configured. One ADITO system can have multiple mailbridges running, which can also use different processes to process emails differently. Each mailbridge needs its own mailbox to do so, it is not possible to use multiple mailbridges on one mailbox, because the emails get removed after processing so accidental double processing of the same email is prevented. In the standard customizing the mailbridge reads the emails and generates activities, which are linked to the respective contact.
