Getting started

ADITO is a comprehensive, web-based xRM solution, with "x" meaning "any" relationship management, not only relationships to customers (CRM). Basically, it consists of two components: The ADITO platform and the ADITO project. The platform includes, amongst others, the ADITO server and the ADITO Designer, which can be seen as a toolbox for creating an ADITO project. The project contains all configurations and code required to run the functionality of the web client.

Usually, developing an ADITO project does not mean to start from scratch, but you use an existing project as a basis. In most cases, this is the project "ADITO xRM" (or one of its industry models), which already includes a wide range of functionality related to CRM and xRM. Adapting and extending this project according to the customer's requirements is the actual "customizing" work.

To get started with customizing, you need an ADITO cloud system and access to ADITO's GitLab and to ADITO's Self-Service Portal (SSP), in which you can handle the system (start, stop, getting the log-in credentials for the web client, etc.). Furthermore, you need a version of the ADITO Designer that is compatible with the system's version. You can then load the system into the Designer and start to customize it. Find more information on this set-up task in the Installation Guide and respect also the prerequisites for running the Designer as given in this document.

ADITO-specific terms are written with an uppercase letter at front, e.g., "Context", "Entity", etc., in order to distinguish them from similar terms in colloquial language use, e.g., "context menu" (= the menu accessible via the right mouse button).
